Job Summary:
BGS is seeking a qualified and experienced Head of Department (HOD) to lead the academic planning, faculty supervision, and performance management of the department. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, leadership skills, and a passion for quality education.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee curriculum planning and implementation for the department
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate subject teachers
Conduct departmental meetings and ensure effective communication
Monitor student performance and ensure academic excellence
Organize teacher training and development workshops
Coordinate lesson planning, assessments, and exam schedules
Ensure compliance with school academic policies and board regulations
Contribute to school-wide events, planning, and improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Master’s degree in [Subject] / Education (M.Ed preferred)
Minimum 5–7 years of teaching experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role
Strong subject knowledge and curriculum expertise
Excellent communication and team management skills
Experience with academic planning and teacher evaluation
